Privacy Policy

Effective: April 25, 2026

Product website: https://tutoric.globaltechnologyx.com

1. Who we are

Tutoric is an online service that uses artificial intelligence to help you create study materials (such as notes, quizzes, and flashcards) from text you provide. Tutoric is developed and offered by Global Technology X ("GlobalTechX," "we," "us," or "our"). Contact: info@globaltechnologyx.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with Tutoric. It applies when you use our website, create an account, subscribe, or contact us. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to (their policies govern those sites).

Not legal advice. This page explains our data practices, not the accuracy or suitability of any AI output for a particular academic or professional purpose. You are responsible for how you use generated content.

3. Information we collect

  • Account and contact. Email address and a password (stored in hashed form, not in plaintext). We may also store an optional name if you provide it in the future.
  • Email verification and security. We send transactional emails (verification, password reset). Tokens for those flows are stored as cryptographic hashes, not as raw links in the database.
  • Content you submit for AI processing. When you paste text or upload a supported file, that content is sent to our application servers to produce the outputs you request. We do not use Tutoric as a long-term file storage or student record system. Generated outputs are returned to your browser session; we do not describe the product as persisting your full source documents or all generations indefinitely unless we have explicitly implemented and disclosed that (see your account / product UI for the current behavior).
  • Billing and subscriptions. We use Stripe to process payments. Card numbers and payment method details are processed by Stripe according to their terms. We may store identifiers such as Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing period end dates in our database to provide access to paid features.
  • Support and chat. If you use the live chat widget (e.g. Tawk.to) on our site, the chat provider may collect technical data and the content of your messages according to their policy.
  • Technical and security logs. Standard server, hosting, and error logs (for example: IP address, user agent, timestamps, error types). We avoid logging full document contents or raw secrets where we can reasonably avoid it.

4. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
  • To run AI features you explicitly request and deliver results to you.
  • To process subscriptions, send receipts, and manage your plan (via Stripe and our app).
  • To protect our service, detect abuse, and comply with law.
  • To respond to support requests and (where permitted) to send product-related notices.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK customers)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we may rely on (a) contract (to provide the service you asked for), (b) legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement) where not overridden by your rights, and (c) legal obligation where applicable. We may request consent for optional uses where required. If you are unsure, contact us at the email address above.

6. Subprocessors and service providers

We use vendors to host and operate Tutoric, including the following categories of providers (the exact vendor may evolve):

  • Frontend hosting: Vercel (or similar) — web application and API edge.
  • Backend and AI: Railway (or similar) — application servers for API routes and AI calls.
  • Database: Neon (or compatible Postgres) — account and app data at rest in the database.
  • Email: Resend (or similar) — transactional email delivery.
  • Payments: Stripe — payment collection and customer portal.
  • AI: OpenAI (or another model provider) — model inference to generate content.
  • Support chat: e.g. Tawk.to — in-product chat, if enabled.

Each processor processes data in accordance with their own terms. Payment data is subject to Stripe’s terms and industry standards; we do not store your full card number in Tutoric’s own database.

7. Data retention

We keep account and subscription information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations. Technical logs are typically kept for a limited time appropriate for security and operations. We may delete or de-identify data when it is no longer needed for a legitimate purpose, unless we must keep it to comply with law.

Deletion. You can request account deletion or data information by contacting info@globaltechnologyx.com. We will respond in line with applicable law, subject to verification and exceptions (e.g. data we must retain for legal, tax, or security reasons).

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) for the site, access controls on servers, and hashed storage for passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use Tutoric at your own risk in this respect, as described in our Terms of Service.

We do not represent that Tutoric is fully compliant with HIPAA, FERPA, or any school/district or healthcare regulatory framework. Do not use Tutoric to process data you are not permitted to share with an internet-connected AI service.

9. International transfers

Our service providers and infrastructure may be located in the United States and other countries. If you use Tutoric from outside the United States, you understand that your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection rules than your country. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as part of our vendor arrangements.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or limit certain processing, to withdraw consent where we rely on it, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email info@globaltechnologyx.com. We will verify your request where appropriate.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not “sell” or “share” your personal information in the common sense of those terms for money; we do use service providers to run the product as described. You may have additional rights; contact us as above. We do not discriminate for exercising your privacy rights, where that applies.

11. Children and education

Tutoric is not directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Schools and programs should use Tutoric only in compliance with their own policies, parental consents, and local laws. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us to request deletion.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top will change, and for material changes we will provide a notice on the site or by email when appropriate. Your continued use after the effective date of an update may constitute your acceptance, where the law allows.
